A Note from the Founder

Hi Friends and Gems alike,

I set out to write a blog post about a business blueprint today and I found myself craving to give a heart connection more than a mind connection. Personally, I lean towards being more task oriented individual. I love to work with concepts and ideas, hearing people’s big ideas and coming up with strategies on how to accomplish them. I love the feeling of accomplishment and reaching ends of goals. It’s when emotions and feelings and people get involved, I get slowed down. In prior seasons I got annoyed by this slow down; however, in this season I embrace the pace that comes when working with people. We all know we feel better when we’re around good people but working with people requires us to adjust our pace as we get to know others and take time to know ourselves.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” - African Proverb

As I’ve been embracing the imperfections of relationships and comitting to playing my part in things going well, I thought it would be a fitting time to bring you into the heart of Multifaceted Woman. As the heart is central to a body’s functioning, the heart of a company sets the pace and intention of all it does. It may not be found in the vision statement, but it’s found in the messages of the brand and tailors how a brand shows up. Because Multifaceted Woman is geared towards woman with vision, it can be easy to get caught up in the ambitions of life and neglect the things that really fill our soul. While accomplishments are great, and fulfilling vision is important, we can’t do those things at the expense of our relationships or ourselves.

As Multifaceted Woman builds out programs and services for women on a mission, the heart of the company is to preserve the tenderness of women. You can be powerful and kind. You can be a boss lady and gracious hostess. You can be present for your vision and your relationships.

That’s the kind of woman I’m becoming. One who no longer sees emotions and human connection as a slowdown, but as an invitation. An invitation to lead with grace. To build with wisdom. To carry both strategy and softness in the same hand.

Multifaceted Woman was never meant to be a brand that just pushes productivity; the heart of the company has always been to honor the full expression of who we are. Yes, we’ll talk business blueprints. Yes, we’ll set goals, plan launches, and map out strategies. But we’ll also leave room for prayer, for tears, for joy, for reflection, and for real-life connection.

As someone who naturally leans towards structure, planning, and getting things done, I’ve had to learn (and keep learning) how to allow room for people—myself included. Because when we do, we don’t just build brands, we build lives. Whole, grounded, God-honoring lives.

So today, I’ll leave the blueprint for another post. I just wanted to remind you- and myself- that the way we do business matters just as much as the business we do. And that in the tension of tenderness and tenacity, there is space for the Multifaceted Woman to thrive.

To becoming,

Janelle
